I began my teaching career in 1998 in York County Schools.  I taught 5th grade for 6 years.  I moved to Isle of Wight County Schools in 2004 where I spent time at Carrollton and Westside before landing at Hardy in 2007.  Since I have been at Hardy, I taught 3rd grade for 12 years and am now loving being a part of the 1st-grade team!

 

I have a bachelor's degree from California Lutheran University and a master's degree from Regent University.

 

I have been married since 1998 to a Smithfield native.  We have two children.  Our son, Tim, graduated from SHS in 2020 and is attending college at Roanoke College.  Our daughter, Sarah, is a student and SHS and she will graduate in 2023.
